2. "Tell me about yourself" — the 60–90 second pitch

Basic★ Must knowLesson 2 of 9

Formula: Present → Past → Future (or Who you are → What you've done → What you want and why here).

"I'm a .NET developer with 5 years of experience building web APIs and data platforms with C#, ASP.NET Core, SQL Server and Azure. Currently at ABC Technologies, I work on a payments platform where I designed the reconciliation service that processes about 2 lakh transactions a day and cut the nightly batch from 3 hours to 25 minutes. Before that, at XYZ, I built SSIS/SSRS reporting for a banking client and moved their deployments to Azure DevOps pipelines. I'm now looking for a role where I can work on cloud-native, high-scale systems, which is why this position on your Azure platform team interests me."

Do: tailor it to the job description, include 1–2 measurable achievements, finish with why this role. Don't: recite your CV line by line, talk about family/personal life at length (unless asked), or go over 2 minutes.
